A little bit about me ...

I am a classically trained pianist and have over 30 years playing experience.

I started learning at the age of 7 and have taken all examinations up to and including the Performer's Certificate with Trinity College of Music (London). I have studied Music to A' level and I have an Honours Degree (although not music related) from The University Of South West of England in Bristol and a Masters degree from The University of Portsmouth.

Along with the piano, I also play the violin and double bass. During the late 1980's I was a member of the Eastleigh Area Schools Orchestra (EASO), under the leadership of Pearl Mace. It was with this orchestra that I had one of the highlights of my musical career to date. I was given the opportunity of performing, as the soloist, George Gershwin's Rhapsody In Blue at The Turner Simms Concert Hall in Southampton.

I have played in various locations around the country from The Festival Hall in London to the Romsey Plaza. However, my most memorable production has to be the Wizard Of Oz with Swanmore Secondary School in 1995, which was performed at The Kings Theatre, Southsea.

Today, when I'm not at work, I use my skills supporting community organisations and working with young musicians. You can find more details on my past performance by clicking on Chronology.

The area I cover ...

I am based in Petersfield, Hampshire. The shaded section on the map below shows the area I normally cover to play in person. I will travel further if required for the right assignment.
